And to be honest, if i could get my Mtn Bike in/on the truck i'd do that. The folder is great but i like my Kona better

Saw a prime truck yesterday, had a pair of bikes hanging on his cascadia grill. So stupid

Why is that stupid ? It's unusual, but bike prolly doesn't get much dirtier than when hanging behing the bunk beteen the trailer.....

Update: i'm finding quite a few riding trails near truckstops. Evanston and Laramie WY, Des Moines, all have trails very close. And a lot of shippers/recievers are in rideable areas. So far i've ridden in 15 states

weather is starting to warm up. i've got the bike back in the truck, a 15-20 minute ride around the back lot does quite a bit to relieve the Winter Blahs. :Bike:
i am looking forward to when i can get in morning rides before starting my day

I've started taking my bike along in the sleeper, stays much cleaner this way

Stopped at Wall SD last week and rode out to the Badlands. It was -2 C but clear and sunny:

i don't get far in the cold, but i'm at Biggs Jct along the Columbia river and got 15 minutes in 36f before i wussed out. Still 15 minutes of riding is better exercise that 45 minutes of walking. And i slept great !
There is a Truckers with Bicycles group on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/157997284394035/
Where we share info on places to ride on the road. Person who started it, keeps his bike in the upper bunk too... i have a folder that i stick in the closet
It really helps me unwind after a trying day....

I used to carry mine every so often, removed the wheels & stashed it in the top of the sleeper, didnt want it to get grime down into the gear sets or have all the screws vibrate of from riding on the back of the cab.

    Cool thread, deserves a bump.
