    Where is the fuel pump located at on a d12 engine. We have a fuel pressure fault coming up and considering trying to change it out our self. It is causing the truck to run like a car with bad spark plugs. ? Lol. When it acts up we can remove our air filter and after a few minutes it runs good with 6.5 to 7.0 mpg,with 20000 in the box, so we are confused . prior to this our mpg was like 5.5 with the same weight. Our engine brake isn't working and it don't have a lot of take off or pull-climbing power. This truck has all but but us under. Can't afford to buy another one, and hate to trade it in with 8 more payments to go.

    If runs like bad spark plug it may be injector cups getting air in fuel or sucking air from somewhere else

    ^yep, I replaced the cups 3 times; bad cups is causing hard starting when are leaking air the fuel drains back to the tank and need to pump it all the way back to injectors every time you start; i also used the manual pump sometimes ; costly job, over 2000$;
