I'm making the switch from my mega starter company to a very small 60 truck fleet. I feel like this is a golden opportunity. They're starting me out at .38 and they made an exception for me since they require 2 years and are letting me slide with only 6 months. They told me that my driving and employment history had to be perfect in order for them to take me. I just got the phone call telling me I have the job everything about this company seems very good very nice people. So I put my 2 weeks in today at my current job and I'll be on a plane to St. Louis in 2 weeks
I'm very happy! What are your views on a mega co vs a 60 truck fleet some insight would be cool

Make sure their safety score is good, You don't want to have target on Your back from day one!
ewill71 Thanks this. -

its in this forum, You can search the DOT number or the name of the company.
I work for a mega, and am treated real good, its a very stable company and I worked for three smaller companies years ago and they closed up and filed bankruptcy and I couldn't collect my money they owed.. That's my fear with smaller companies and they had well over 200 trucks.6 Speed, T_TRUCKER⢠and Dinomite Thank this. -
The score isn't IMO 4 crashes is there a overall score ?
-
60 is very small???
We have 10. And have for years. -
-
.38? ####. It's terrible that drivers think that's good money these days.
-
and yes, that's a hell of a lot better than .33
So I'll take it -
As a small company be ready to do a lot of their work- paperwork, calling customers for times/directions/ changing delivery times, repairs etc.
T_TRUCKER⢠Thanks this.
