Delivered dark and early this morning and then hustled over to Tulsa by 0630 local....and sat. They waited 2.5,hours before starting the loading process. They said they had to work me in since I wasn't scheduled, yet there was only one truck there before me. I hate incompetence. Only managed 475 miles today, leaving me with at least an hour and a half drive to the receiver once Thursday rolls around. I was at least hoping to make it Sidney by tomorrow but that was shot down. The customers this week have been doing everything they can to keep me from getting home on Saturday. At least I have Game 4 of the Blazers/Rockets series to look forward to. Can't wait to go to that one.

    Be safe all.

I made it to receiver in Kingman by 9:30. They were quick and kind about unloading. Even helped me pull straps and fold the tarps! They I went to other side of town to load slinkies for Irwindale CA. But 11:30 was too early and they told I had to wait at the t.s. next door until my appt at 1. So after returning at 1, I waited an hour to get loaded! :biggrin_25510: I really don't understand the purpose of appt's if they don't mean squat to the people setting them!

So of course, now I'm burning my 14! Which was not helped at all by the fact that every LC I make, I have to take the time to add more coolant or water. I have gone through 8 gallons over the past 5 days, not including what I need to add now. (whenever I get the courage to exit my truck and brave these 40mph winds!!!) So I only managed 390 mi today.

The last time I called in about it, I spoke with Phil (our V.P. of fleet ops), and he told me to head to the Fontana KW after unloading, instead of trying to limp it up to our shop. So I pray I'm not stuck there too long. Not making money... Not being productive... (still need at least 2560 mi after I deliver to get 10500 mi this mo...!)

Some days you're the windshield. Some days you're the bug!

Delivered this morning after 2 more gallons during my pre trip, and 2 gallons at the customer. High tailed it to KW 30 miles away and it was ready for another freakin gallon!

Arrived here at 10:30am. Its now 3:40pm and I havent heard a thing. I saw them pull it in to the dyno bay, and now it's back on the lot. I asked the service writer about it, but all he would tell me is, "We're still working on it".

    This day is blown...

You might as well pitch your tent since you will be there for a couple of days at that pace. :biggrin_2551:

Sorry to hear about the truck issues, at least you have 7 days to get 2560 miles. I'm sure Dylan will hook you up.

Made it to Belfield, ND today and have a little less than two hours left to my delivery. Turned out 665 miles today in a little under 11 hours. After I deliver, I'll be headed down to Cody, WY to pick up my next load going to Sandy, OR. I'm shooting to spend the night on the shipper's property tomorrow night and hopefully being the first one loaded Friday morning. Maybe I'll catch a break with one of my customers this week.

Will need around 500 miles after I deliver in Sandy for 10500. Shouldn't be too hard.

    Be safe all.

There's a hose clamp that runs back to the apu on frame rail that's where my coolant was leaking from on my kw

I'm at the Quality Inn Ontario for the night.

I only just barely overheard the mech telling the service writer that " the reservoir tank is getting over pressurized." Which means the coolant is blowing out the pressure cap. Hence the engine being doused in coolant... But wow, 2 gallons/hr is A LOT of pressure in the tank! So they have to find out WHY the tank is getting over pressurized.

I called in to the driver coaches to see what was what for tomorrow. Dave told me if KW cannot get me rolling tomorrow, they will rent me a car to haul me and my stuff to Vegas where I'll pick up another truck that's just been sitting. :biggrin_25511: I want to keep rolling, but I'd rather not switch trucks AGAIN. It would be my 3rd in 5 months.
