its just the luck of the draw. My CSA is zero never a hard break or anything. And the truck I got has one. I got it last year with only 48000 miles. So it is just you get what u get

    Hey everyone

Last i left off i was in Laredo. Think i like that terminal more than Tulsa and Masury. Masury is great though for alone time, seems like noone is around when I was there.

Anyway, finally got a load out of texas after being there for a week probably! Was getting miles...i just got over texas quickly after driving from each end for days! Such a huge state. Im on my way to Missouri. Alot of the loads the past few days have been about 500 mile loads, pickup drop off the next day soon as i send empty call i get a preplan for another load within 10 mins. Not complaining. Just about every freeway i traveled on had construction for miles or traffic. Bye texas.

Miles still steady. No reset will be needed still, so im happy to keep running. After all, thats what im out here for, to keep going. When i signed up for my CDL i had thought about how long id have to be out on the road, so this to me is just what i was expecting. Once i get home, i should be out almost 8 weeks. I didnt plan it that way but just didnt see the need to rush home after orientation and possibly miss some appointments in May. But i will probably stay out 4-6 weeks at a time...just as long as i get paid for my time out it isnt an issue.

I got some detention pay today. Shipper took a long time, but thats alright. Everywhere ive been since starting has gotten me in and out fairly quickly.

Oh while i was at a stop for the night, i met up with 2 of the guys that were in my class at school! Small world isnt it? I figured i would probably never see them again and then they show up. They are a team for Werner. We got to talking and they seem to like where they are. Let me ask you guys this...
They said they get paid .34 cpm as a team. So they split that. They got about 5500-6600 miles. This to me is certainly not enough. I told them i start off at .33. What would you do? Like i said, if im getting paid for my time OTR then i dont mind. But this to me isnt anywhere near enough to drive for that.

But i guess some things work for others and dont work for others. Well im out for the night, we will see where i go once i drop this off tomorrow.

It's about 1100 a week for those guys teaming with those miles but likely not consistent. Still not enough for me to team. Ever.

when it all boils down. each driver would end up making the about the same as being a solo driver. now do the math, would you give up privacy and put up with all the farting for around same pay you would make as a solo driver.

If Im gonna team, its gonna be with someone I know, trust, and who respects me. I wouldnt team with anyone other then 2 people, My wife, or my dad.

Yea that's the point I was making. Why would anyone team for $850 or so a week after taxes is beyond me, unless husband and wife where all revenue goes to one household.

It was just a joke but yea we have a handful of autos. They don't actually assign trucks based on gender, but luck of the draw. The whole women truck thing was an inside joke from when we were all in Laredo.
