Any tips from O/O's for driving a tractor with a 308 inch wheel base with 53' trailer (non spread axle)

Put a diamond plate deck where the 5th wheel is, put a HD motorcycle up there and sell it to someone who wants a cool looking RV, but don't try to haul any trailer with it...

They look dam cool going forward , but i'd hate like hell to have to back into a dock with it.

Oh , and i'd probably get used to parking only in rest areas. ( pull in , pull out )

SWIFT drivers will probably back into a hole faster than you. Don't be upset. But on a serious note, I don't see how you will be able to make many turns with aborting altogether. Maybe you should trade that spread axle for a pup trailer.

I do not know how you could run a truck like that without having a set run. Mainly because of steep driveway entrances and dock ramps. Very easy to high center on the Fuel Tanks.

Mine is 302" and i have never had any problems but I dont pull a 53. I dont have a big sleeper but my frame is long enough i could add a lift axle infront of the drives and not have to take off my step to get on the catwalk. Just swing wide and watch what you are doing. My truck is a w9 so you know i can turn on a dime too.

I dont see why people make that big of a deal about pulling a 53 when they slide the axles up so far its like pulling a 40ish foot trailer its not like pulling a RGN with the axles all the way at the back.
