As a truck driver you are the single most important person in the trucking industry. Understand this and go into the interview with confidence. The company needs you more then you need the company. Much more. You are not a beggar. Let the interviewer know that you are the face of the company. You are a salesman as well as a driver. Your action will determine the public's view of that company. Do not go in wearing shorts and a smelly tee shirt. Dress causal but classy. Look the interviewer in the eye and offer a firm handshake. Answer any question honestly but do not volunteer anything.

The interview process is something which you will get through. Just remember, they need you.

Smash that stuff that Rhino said. Bring your lube, and expect to be lied to and bent over. Don't believe nothing they say and when the interview is finish. Say in your Scar face voice. I don't need you. You need me Capeesh. :)

Truck drivers get interviewed? My experience has been:

    1. Get Class A CDL
    2. Choose company you want to start with
    3. Company accepts you
    4. Company sends you bus ticket to orientation
    5. Paper work
    6. You are in a truck working and getting paid.

Gio, an "interview" for a company sounded odd to me as well.

I have worked for two different companies but have been offered jobs by a good handful over the phone. All a company really wants is an acceptable DMV printout and a certain amount of experience

Sometimes not even that, but then again I am a rookie and I am sure the veterans have been a while long enough to have been interviewed. Specially if you are a car hauler or something special like that.
