what flatbed companies require drivers to purchase the securement equipment? I remember reading that one of the companies does, but cannot remember which one.
-
Prime does. Cuts back on the "i lost my tarps at the truck stop" and people generally not caring for the equipment. Last I heard they'll buy most of it back at 70%, maybe more if it's in better condition.
-
Have you talked to Systems Transport? (855)-777-7699. Talk to Ms. Roxy Reilly. Very nice lady and will give you all the info you need. Good luck.
-
Thanks, but System Transport doesn't hire in the area I'll be living in. I thought it was Prime that you had to buy your own securement equipment, but wasn't sure. How much do they charge for the equipment?
-
Boyd Bros starts at 38cpm, higher then most of the others, but last I checked you have to pay an upfront fee/deposit for the equipment, eventually you get it back, but still.
I made my commitment with TMC, and and pretty optimistic after speaking with other drivers on here, and at truck stops. -
I'm pretty set on applying at TMC and Roehl, but leaning more towards TMC at the moment.

I've spoke with recruiters from Melton, Roehl, Maverick and TMC. I agree that talking with the company recruiters is like dealing with military recruiters. I think I have a leg up a little bit on that as I was an Army recruiter, so I can recognize when I'm getting a sales pitch.
Gunner75 Thanks this.
