Las Vegas. Prime rib at Orleans last night and ribeye at Palace Station tonight in a little while. Sometimes need to overdose on beef. It is as they say what's for dinner. The room's comped, the cards have been kind and Lexie was acrobatic but she promised to do better. Sometimes hometime don't suck!

Do you park at Wild West when you go down to Orleans?

I swing thru there last time and caught a movie upstairs but didn't get any food. Curious how that prime rib was.

Where is Palace Station? Truck parking?

Sitting in Castle Rock, CO and enjoying some pizza at Parry's Pizza. It's pretty good stuff. I am sore and suffering from muscle spasms from my first Dollar Tree load. By the end of my last stop there wasn't a area lacking pain so I'm going to eat then slowly back to the truck for Advil and sleep.

Waffle House across street from Pilot in Atlanta. Early a.m. I dropped our load at Marshall's, then my partner took over and went to our terminal to grab an empty and boogie around the beltway to pick up our next load headed back to San Pedro, CA. One mile from the customer the load is cancelled. Instructed to head back to the terminal because there was also a problem with the trailer (not sure what)...

... get one mile from the terminal and got a preplan halfway around the beltway for a load headed to NJ, and another preplan from NJ to Las Vegas.

While I like the big triangle increasing our miles this week, I'm still a tad bit nervous about the developing weather over the weekend. This plan will also push us to a Monday delivery in Las Vegas, meaning we don't get a reset if we want to pick up another Marshall's load (which they require)....

.... so we keep getting pushed back on that Wednesday deadline to the point I'm concerned we'll miss a paycheck in here somewhere.

There's truck parking behind the Orleans unless there's an event going on in the parking lot. You can reach it turning north on S. Valley View Blvd. from Tropicana. The prime rib was awesome. I asked several dealers and locals where the best steak was and most said the Orleans.

The Palace Station is west of I-15, exit 40 on W. Sahara Ave. The truck parking is on the south side. Go past the casino and turn south on Teddy Drive and the parking area is south of the parking garage. (Be careful NOT to turn at the light that is the casino entrance.) There's a back entrance to the casino if you go up what appears to be the alley on the right side of the parking garage.

Tonight I'm going to try someplace different for T-bone or a porterhouse. Not sure where.

Here in Aurora, OR. Was doing okay until got to Pendleton, and then the ##### wind shifted on me. Straight out of the west. Still somehow managed to avg 6.5. Got a pplan about 5 this morning and I saw one word on the Phone. Hurried and pulled over and said no. Later talked to my DM and he said that it was the best one around. Everything comming out was heavy and mostly picked up on Monday. So I took this one. It is heading for a t-call in Otey Mesa. I have until Wednesday morning to get it there. I plan on getting rid of it on Tuesday then hope for a nice one that I can deliver on Wednesday. Better check my hours since I start running re-cap tomorrow. I have 17 avail know and only picking up a avg of 6 hours for 4 days. Since I have a home request for the 5th in El Paso I have this feeling that they will be keeping me down there. It will not break my heart. I am pretty sure that I can get a load out of Otey. Never been there before with Swift.

Now just trying to figure what route out of there since the directions say that US-101 is restricted, US-20 is restricted. What the heck

I was up at 0500 this morning for my 0600 PTA, then sat until 1330 for a load.
Nice and heavy going to MN, and I'm t-calling it at Inver Grove because it doesn't deliver until the 30th.
They (the system, most likely) wants it there on the 27th by 2030. LOL, not gonna happen.

I've got 15 hours left on my 70, including tomorrows hours, with 735 miles to go and 0 hours coming in on the 28th.
Considering the high wind and thunderstorm warnings along my route, I'll be taking my time to get it there sometime on the 28th.
