Crock pot is good. I'll also add lotion. Dried and cracked hands can be brutal.

It's you're like me and sleep barefoot and you can be good about not wearing shoes into the sleeper area, put down a little carpet. I happened to have some scraps laying around from when we did our house and one piece was the perfect size. Goes from the bed to the seats and covered everything in between and it is wonderful rolling out of bed onto it instead of cold rubber
