Hey stayinback, that is pretty cool. Good Lord, while I could probably remember every truck I drove, I couldn't begin to count the wagons. I dragged rail vans and containers out of the Windy for almost 5 years, and had a different wagon almost every day, so there's over a grand right there. BTW, when I started pulling those,(late '80's) there was some real junk. I probably would have stayed with it, but had enough of tube tires. I see a lot of the chassis's have tubeless now. Do they still have Z-vans?

Over a million in a truck and over a million in a bus. One speeding ticket in each.

Most 'Z' Vans are Gone Brother........You Might find UPS pulling a Reaz (Realco) or an XTRZ here and there those 45' pigs....But Most Everything Going TOFC now are 53' EMP's and Cr@p like that
If you go into 47th street Hub (The old ConRail)...you'll find a few "retired KBSZ or REDZ vans......Chassis have come a long way too.....still Tube Tires on those 10.00 X 20,But these chassis are 'Clean' Nowadays

I Havent Done any intermodal Cartage work in over 20 years.....But I Know a lotta guys in the city that still do

Hey haven't posted for quite some time good to see still the best trucking board around. 25 years minimum 2.5 million probably 3-3.5 1 preventable after 2 months driving, in brooklyn ny someone passing me on the right when I was trying to turn right. Should have got a commendation for that one.

It never fails to amaze/amuse me to see a car or pickup stuck under the right side of a trailer. Last one I saw was a lawn company with a trailer full of jumbled equipment!

I still contend that in all sorts of vehicles (126k or so in a PAM rig) I have well beyond a million.

What a shame, some of those old wagons were sure some doozys. If I stayed with it, I'd have gotten my own spread axle aluminum chassis, except trying to get a lift proved challenging too. Maybe it's changed now. Yeah, some of those yards made me a little nervous. I think Conrail 63rd was the worst.. Still running tube tires, dangerous junk, should have been outlawed years ago. Had 1 blow up on me once, that was a close call.

keep up the average work. sorry bout that. good on ya . if ya need to know what a million miles looks like ask my wife. if ya need to know what two mill looks like ask my kids. If ya need to know what four million miles looks like ask my grandkids. if you ask me , I see them all in the mirror. But i am always looking ahead. You have to be an optomist in this business. When i poke my head out of the bunk and see another post card picture i know why i havent quit yet. next stop.. five million.

I gave up counting after "the new math" was introduced. I called the ATA they said about 3 million or so. 25 years of log books = 2 trees. 10 years more = another tree. Save trees, don't use log books. rotfl
