I can agree with you there Mike, I've never made money like I did working for those two outfits, especially the flat bed guy. I would cash one week checks nearing 2k, but I ran really hard and it ended up costing me a pick up truck in the end (fell asleep at the wheel and smacked a telephone pole...)![]()

I'm in Colorado, and I've been a dump truck for a month being paid 17 an hour and just learned from another driver that I'm supposed to be getting 50.00 a load!

In MA, $80 an hour for a 10 wheeler (20 ton) $90 for a tri (24 ton) and $115 For a bucket (32 ton). 4 hours to show up and anything over 4 is 8 hours (or hourly after 8)

We also billed by the ton. More than what it cost at the plant. The hourly was billed as well. We did not go terribly far in the mileage but on days we throw down 100 to 120 yards building a common road well.. that's big time contract.
The money takes care of itself when you are faced with a 30,000 dollar parking lot due in 30 days with a small crew and a few trucks, paver etc. We were finished in 26.
