I had a trailer load of General Tires stolen many years ago. Dropped my trailer in rural Indiana and bobtailed home 10 miles. Stolen on Memorial Day weekend. Watch out on holidays I guess. As this gentlemans truck was stolen on Easter.

And I had a kingpin lock on it. The big stainless steel Enforcer Kingpin Lock. Not as in stoppable as they advertise.

I was working for Schneider at the time they found the trailer empty on the street in Chicago 2 weeks later.

Ouch...stripped for parts. Will your insurance cover it or is it a write off?

Tires are expensive but the the truck still looks fairly new so its proably not enough to total it.

Wow. Some people really suck. I am glad the mystery is solved. And, you didn't get hurt...or worse. Things can be replaced, you can't.

I'd bet that the gang running this theft ring is likely feeding a lot of the tires, etc. into some of the discount tire shops in the Fontana area. Might be an idea to put some ID on those tires to help track them, then go to the shops and ask for that brand tire for a price comparison and see what you get.
