I guess you can go as fast as your truck will allow, if you can stand the pressure. The limit is posted, its probably up to the Trooper or LEO at hand thou. Some places do not even allow you 5mph over any more. It used to be just another award for the glove box but not any longer. I have set in plenty of trooper and DOT cars in my day and watched their radar. It isn't set for anything. It tells what every body is doing, the 15 over idea is crazy you won't last long with 1 or 2 for sure on your DL. They have gotten serious and took the fun out of it

i will try to top that by saying that i,along with about 8 cars, used a SC trooper as a front door on I26 west at speeds better than what you just posted.YES he knew we were all back there.how could he not? it was truly the best 25 or so miles i have driven in many years.many.the trooper exited off and ended our "rush".blissful it was. whata front door man. i didn't even worry about meeting an oncoming nor did i blab what was happening over the cb.I just went with it.

some of these drivers on here need to just go with it sometimes.they are uptight.i enjoyed your post.

okay.i was not trying to top your post.i wanted to add to it.it does happen.driving can be fun and relaxed and safe at a higher clip.

Whatever works or has been working for you than stick with it. I know what the state troopers allow in my neck of the woods here on 87 and I can assure you there not even going to put there seat in the upright position and take it out of park for 1-6 mph over on the interstate.

I've used more than one bear as a front door in more than one state.. Just the other night in La actually, he followed me for awhile running 75-76 then came around me and I fell in behind him for a good 30 miles or so..

HaHa Yea I bet I know which one it was too Ive chased him a few times myself. I had an emergency with my co-driver one night going across there, he thought he was hemmoraging inside so I called for that bear on the radio told him I needed to get my co driver to the hospital that he thought he was hemmoraging. I saw him come across the median just a getting it. he said follow me. I said wouldn't it be better if you take him? He said just follow me and keep up. So I hammered on that pete and he still nearly run off and left me.

when something like that happens to me,it just refreshes my whole perspective on trucking, life, the world, other drivers, and all that good stuff even if for a short time.it made me feel better regarding this thread.

    HA!

so you see fellow forum members, just because you may run a bit quicker than average does not mean that you are unsafe. nor an idiot.staying out of the cluster actually induces calm and prolongs your life.

Exactly! That's been the secret to my success. You don't run with traffic, you either run ahead of them or behind them, staying by yourself so if there is an emergency, you have time to react safely. Thank you Cowmobile

If you drive for a company then "your" speeding ticket raises "their" CSA score.

"Their" clients look at that score when choosing a carrier!
