A lesson learned and I hope not an expensive one for you. Just take a deep breath and put your best foot forward and hope that who ever you talk to gives you a good rating. Being a lease operator or O/O is not for every one. At least you gave it a try. I would my self have a very hard time going back to being a company driver. If your turning in that truck do your self a big favor. Set the date and time on camera. Take lots of pictures and or video of the exterior and interior. seats ,dash, floor bunk , fenders all of the cab including the tires for tread depth and condition and of course the wheels for curb damage. A pic of the speedometer reading will be good too.
This will help prevent you from getting back charged for damage they may claim took big bucks to repair. I have seen that happen too many times to the trusting and unsuspecting.

I was up til about 2am, gamma. I was so glad when the storms started to break up in your part of the country. The shooting this morning was horrible...as all of them are ...they say the shooter was a Fed Ex driver.
Now they say he was a package handlerLast edited: Apr 29, 2014

kirk had leased a truck for 6 months then had ordered a truck and signed a 5 year lease. I think he was only about 5 months into his lease when his dad became ill and he turned his truck in. I don't think his truck had given him any problems and for the most part he did fairly well leasing ....so I am sure he probably had more money in his accounts to help cover the expenses when he left.

We haven't said this in awhile and gamma being in Cartersville reminded me of something that happened to a new driver that picked up carpet there last year before we left TransAm.
ALWAYS weigh your load even on a swap....if you are a company driver TransAm pays for it. You never know how the load has been packed into the trailer or how it has been handled by the other driver. The roads are in bad shape after this winter and people cut in and out around you guys all of the time ....a load can slide.ajacks121712 Thanks this. -
I was going to quit but 8f they are willing to help me I will stay. Just cant stay if I dont have money coming in. I will not do a swap unless the other driver has scaled it already thats my new law lol. Im ahappy girl today I got to go to walmart this morning

They want me to pick up a hot load in Liberal and get it to Chicago ASAP. I'm not in the mood for it. But said other than picking it up and getting to Olathe sometime tomorrow I make no guarantees. I'm tired and just got my truck back and now need to run a solid 11. Screw that. If I can manage to get to the yard tonight I will probably send a 024 and go to bed.
