Good info which applies with any routing software or GPS. The only flaw I see is don't depend on company canned directions. Those local directions are from driver reports entered into their system. You get some yahoo driver that got lucky on some bad route and that's what he'll tell his dispatcher to enter. Most are right but you'll come across many wrong ways too. Calling the customer is a more reliable way to get safe directions in. More and more companies have canned directions on their voicemail menu that answers. I've found them more reliable than anything else and then like you said, edit your software/GPS via waypoints to match the correct route. It's good to read someone else knows how to do this.

Well yall might want to look at this GPS unit. I myself will be ordering one this coming weekend and so far about 95% of the people that have this rave about it. The Truckers Tablet GPS TT2. As you might guess it is more then just a GPS but also an Android Tablet that you will be able to download from the google play store.

If I didn't know any better I would be thinking you are "shilling" that product. Also you replied to a very old thread(necro-posting).

Nope not Schilling? Whatever that is. Just discovered.this GPS n thought I would throw it into the topic.

Garmin is a good unit. Seems you could order online and get the rock bottom price. I have the NUVI 255W, for autos, but it does the job 90% of the time, just got to be careful in some areas.
Easy big guy... You might be surprised to know that some of your complaints mirror our own. Personally, I have nothing against our northern neighbors (then I was born in Alaska). I was against NAFTA and CAFTA from the start because it embodied to much politics to be Fair, and Just, by any stretch of the imagination, yet we have it. And as-far-as border crossing fees are concerned, you only need to be from Mexico to get a free pass here, no fees, no opposition, no concerns; Americans pay the tab on that debacle. The only greed I see, inclusive of the sense of entitlement, resides in Washington DC... our government seems to have a desire to rule the world. Hope you see, it is no more the people here starting trouble, than it is in Canada. We do not like what is going on any more than you do.
