System Transport has two terminals in CA. Excellent company by the reviews.

Western Express hires from your area for flatbed. They hire some drivers that have a troubled background. Good for those having problems finding trucking employment. Not the best weekly pay; most posts say they make 5 or 6 hundred a week.

I'll try those two out. Thanks! And sure isn't McDonald's pay math is one thing I CAN do and nobody can tell me any different.

5 or 6 hundred a week is low for a good driver, but it's a start to get where you want to be.

Pretty sure Swift does flatbed training also, and they have terminals everywhere. Matter of fact I think their securement training is in Phoenix?

Alright so I applied to Western Express flatbed division last night and 6am this morning the recruiter calls me waking me up asking me when I am ready to go to Nashville. Doesn't want to know anything else about me just when you coming. I loled and told her I need to sort some things out first but I will call her back within a week or so. Talk about desperate! In the meantime I am going to pray 4 hours a day and hunt for another job, ANY other job, the remainder of the day. This is the last company I want to work for but I am really interested in doing flatbed and this would be a good opportunity for me to build a solid foundation for myself.
