I never went to the coke plant by going by the love's. But I guess it because I was always coming from clearwater and I would go thru Lakeland to get there.

You can get to Coke without ever seeing Loves if you stop in Haines City for a washout if you didn't get one further south, then backtracking a mile or two south and taking one of those highways I forget the number. But it's a straight shot til you make a left on main street.

I am in Tupelo. Not sure if I will make the receiving window. I had a few hangups in Arkansas, one of which was Mayflower. It threw everything off. But I was also dispatched on this after drop dead so it won't be my fault.

WTH. My satellite is possessed. It has restarted itself three times in a row just now. X____X

Thanks exactly what he did, go to the washout in Haines City first lol. Oh well, he will be getting up in an hour or so to head out anyway lol. As for the bbq thing, it is really odd to find a southern boy that doesn't love a bbq now and then lol, but oh well, more for us bahahaha!

^ He did not miss much if he missed the Love's in Auberndale. Over crowded, dirty with long wait times for a shower every time I have been there.

kf4omc is right, road between Love's and Coke will accommodate one of our trucks, but mind the speed limits, don't want to take those tight turns at a higher speed. (Thanks for the weight info about Fla. I did not know that one)

Show up at this Coke shipper with a clean trailer and two load locks, they do inspect.

Keep in mind there is a secondary coke facility in Auberndale, you will not always be sent to the main plant. It is just two doors down from our receiver, Buckeye Meats (overnight parking available). I ran out of clock and was able to creep over to Buckeye Meats to finish my 10 hour break. You can pick up a free WiFi signal at this location.

    -----------------
What route do folks take when heading north out of Auberndale? GPS always took me on a surface street route past a lot of stop lights and strip malls (Route 27 I guess). I would like to know a better, more truck friendly route.

I can breathe now. I've been sitting here waiting for the King to get back home. He made his delivery today, but is so sick. The company said go back home, get to the doctor for some antibiotics. So tomorrow will be spent at the doctor's office or Urgent Care. I tried to take him yesterday when he first came home but stubborn man wouldn't listen!

gamma,... the Cranky One, Panhandle and I will let you know the outcome of the BBQ meeting. Maybe we should ask you a few more important questions before we decide anything. How do you feel about meatloaf? What about seafood? These are important ....if you are going to be a driver you have to know where the best food is for drivers ....and contribute to our data base of Favorite Places to Eat. Right now your status is in question because you have failed the BBQ qualifications! :biggrin_25510:........:biggrin_2559:
