Unfortunately it's not the first time we have seen this post on here. Different companies, same garbage treatment on an employee. I think most so far have waited for driver to get out of hospital. Nice going Heartless.

I reserve judgement until I see that the OP is more than a 1 shot wonder. Anytime someone creates an account just to post one flame I am suspicious.

Not a one flame wonder as U say , just new to forum , I have scar to prove surgery . They HEARTLAND really put me and.my family in a bad situation

That's what I.thought too but unless you have been there over a year they can terminate u, I was there 10 months but still it isnt rite I LIKED IT FOR MOST PART but I refuse to be treated that way

My daughter's name is Breanne too , what details do u want exactly? I only wish to warn other Drivers that they can AND WILL B TERMINATED if they need surgery and it is not work related , it was pretty sh:#!y of them but I'm not here just to bash company

I believe every word of what
you posted. I quit driving for
    Heartless in February. They
    are totally motivated by profit.
They dont care one bit about
their drivers. I am sure you wont
    have any problem finding another
    job driving a truck.

Unfortunately, this is standard procedure. Out of the truck more than 2 weeks = auto termination. I've had it happen at 3 different companies, and they weren't all bottom feeders. Insurance is canceled also so you have to go on Cobra. One time I just took a longer vacation than planned. Did the rehire after that.

I'd be real interested in what appears on the man's DAC report after this. I wouldn't put it past Heartless to hit him with abandonment.

They didnt screw me quite that bad but I did get charged $200 bucks for out of route miles BUT THE TOTAL HOSPITAL BILL WAS $70,000 and I only have to pay $2500 so I came out ahead . IM WITH DOUBLE J NOW AND I MUST SAY I GET TREATED LIKE GOLD HERE , PAYS LESS PER MILE BUT I GET WAY MORE MILES AND NO RELAYS OR CHASING EMPTIES.THEY DID ME A FAVOR BY TERMINATING ME. THANKS HEARTLAND AND THANKS TO ALL WHO READ AND OR REPLIED. GOTTA GO
