I'm graduating from cdl school soon and making my list and checking it twice. I have info on skateboards from all over the country except here in the state I live. I'm right of I-88 halfway between Albany & Binghamton. I want to run all 48 and have no problem being out for more than a month at a time. But am looking for co's that I will be able to bring my truck home with me while under a load or not. The best I've come up with is PGT. Anyone know of any others based nearby? Thanks for the help.

I lived in Binghamton and worked for TMC. Home every weekend unless I didn't want to be. Ran NY/PA/New England by choice, but hit most of the lower 48 at one point or another while I was there. I had a good turn with them, left for a home-nightly gig, but if I were to go back to flatbed I think they'd be on the short list.

    Riply ANd JPenn.......

You guys are crazy over there......I Had a load of building material on 47,ooo# going to Sangerfield,NY

It was a NIGHTMARE on US 20 From Lafayette thru Cazenovia over to Sangerfield, Those Grades Had to be 9-10%

You'd Think NY would put us 20 on a better stretch of land

9-10% grades are fun. Just go into a lower gear, cover your brake and tighten your seat belt. As far as better stretch of land, where? NY is nothing but hills. You should try driving in Alaska like I did for 4 years.

Thanks Chinatown, was hoping you'd chime in here. You seem to be very knowledgeable regarding companies.I'm familiar with these two also.I'm looking for ones possibly based out of new York or pa,ma. So far pgt seems to be my best bet but am looking at ones considerably farther away as well . such as keim ts. any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are several ways to get to Sangerfield...I wouldn't have come across US 20 myself just because of the hills. If you're coming from the south, get off 81 N to 12 and go up via Norwich. And, yes, lots of those grades are 8% or better. Some of the more interesting ones have stop signs or busy intersections at the bottom, too.
