    61 in a 75 mph area??

    lets see... 10 mph for 10 hrs = 100 miles/day=500miles/wk=2000miles/month

I get an extra days mileage per week or 4 days , which is alot more money than the 1-2 mpg you save.

    more loads = more money.

my truck has no gov on it.

I don't drive crazy, but I do get on down the road and get the loads delivered ASAP.

now that thread got hijacked, I would hate to see your fuel bill, but it's not just fuel your burning it's also the extra wear and tare you put on your equipment.

im not governed either, but I do drive by how I feel sometimes I feel just like pushing 57 where I get the best fuel mileage, other times I push the speed limits which really eats my fuel.

883Bedom, good post. Doing anything for spite is bad thinking. Bad place to be, in your head, in the world.

Take it easy, Lowa. You have your opinions, I'm happy for you. I have mine, and I have them because that's what matters to me. That's the way we do it in The United States.

Hey. I've figured this whole thread out...check out the purity of this.

Lol that's the problem everyone just wants to take it easy, and next thing you know there are more rules and regs to follow it wouldn't be so bad if people would learn except responsibility, but the way things are going its seems to be everyone else who has the issue and if one doesn't agree with them them it's time to call the gooberment in to enact more laws so we can obey someone else's views or beliefs.

examples low volume flushing toilets, ok so now I have to flush 2-3 times vs once but yet it suppose to save water really?

Kids needing helmets to ride bikes? Growing up we lived on a cul-da-sac street, no cars except for neighbors once in awhile, and we couldn't go any further than that, we never had or were forced to wear helmets.

seatbelts, Jeese don't even get me started on that one, pretty soon you going to need a permit in order to pick your nose, just because someone else doesn't think your doing it to their standards.

I'm a company driver and I care. I treat it like I'm paying for it. One day, I will be paying for it so build good habits now. I refuse to lose sleep due to discomfort though. I idle when I need to.

No idling was only started to throw another bump in the road for the O/O. Which by the way make up over 90% of the ICC numbers on the road. The real O/O, not the flavor of the month L/P who .....................well never mind.
