Mother's Day Weekend early outlook (9-11 May). Here's something to brighten your day, besides Mom...next weekend looks warm in the South and East for our Mom's. In New Jersey as an example, last year Mother's Day was cold and very wet while this year looks to be the 2nd warmest in 20 years for NJ. Yes some afternoon thundershowers are a risk for the Eastern half of the U.S. but at least it's warmer! Winds could be a concern along the East Coast but again...it should be a WARM SOUTHERLY WIND. Not so in North Dakota where it looks to remain chilly and windy with the coolest Mom's Day in 4 years. - Capt Kirk out.

 

HTQ yes I am going somewhere else just waiting to get my last settlement before I give my 2 weeks. Probably going to be a company man after this but who knows there is one lease that has caught my attention but I really don't need the stress right now.

I understand completely, jaso. There are a lot of things to consider when you change jobs. Money versus home time versus benefits. Sure would be nice to find the perfect combination!

 

ajacks, have you been having a heat wave in Arkansas? It has been 87 degrees here for the last two days. I mowed a few acres today and got burnt to a crisp ....I definitely have my farmer's tan going on!

The weather looks pretty good for everyone for the next couple of days but they are predicting another round of storms beginning Thursday.

As far as I know still going to Chicago. They didn't give me the job so I don't know why they called me in to interview for it.

 

what was the job you were interviewing for?
plenty of jobs they interview people they know they wont hire just to be able to say they looked around
and didnt already have someone picked out

 

It was for a local position out of Olathe terminal. The thing is I resigned and they still called me in to interview. All they did was waste my time and gas.
and what's even more stupid they called me on Sunday and asked if I was on hometime cause they wanted me to leave early and pick up a swap. I was like uhhhhh I resigned from you guys I don't even have my truck anymore. They don't even know who is working for them lolol

 

At least you know now, Wayne, and you can move on to get some good OTR experience with better training.
