With 15,000 pounds of load my truck could fly,unfortunately I'm averaged 95,000 gross but with full synthetic Amsoil 5W-40 fuel consumption increased to 5.2 driving through Rockies.

 

Thats cause your the only one running for .85 cpm

AfterShock, was the turbo mounted up really high? Where you can barely close the hood? Most 1693's were like that it was a beast of a 425hp engine, back when 335hp cummins was a beast, this motor just terrorized everything on the roads.

 

D16....My motto is "spend it if you got it"....Why leave it to the undertaker or for your best friend and old lady to play house with?Sounds like you may need to buy a clue with some of your savings

 

Yeah stock up on that oil, the way that D16 burns oil you better have at least 6 gallons on hand per trip.

Never add a drop of oil in 25,000 miles between oil changes.And for info to low educated guys-this oil is the best of the best.

The 1693 was a good motor. way ahead of it's time overhea cam design. It was complicted though which it biggest problem.
379x did you see 352dady is selling his 359 with the 3408 cat? $15k I so wish I hadn't bought my truck already now. but your looking at a goos 3 to 4 mpg with that badboy
