Hey little cat 500, listen to this. Back in the '70's, I worked for an asphalt company, mostly seal coating, and the yard was an ecological nightmare. On a "yard day"once, the lead man told me to go change the oil in the chip spreader. I asked him how much it held, and how big a drain pan I should take. He looked at me, and said,"Let it go right on the ground". I thought he was kidding, but was serious, and said, "Just get going". So I pulled the plug and let 'er go. The EPA eventually shut the yard down, but can you believe the mindset back then?
There's a lot of places that did this in northern Minnesota also. Did all the fluid changing into the ground on all the logging equiptment. The companies got fined big time and a lot of streams are considered unsafe for drinking.

This was not a buddy story, it was the real thing, true story, sorry I did not put the cost, it cost him $750.00. He was driving a Dodge dually pulling a 40 foot cattle trailer with about 2 head of cows.

The fine is $10 per gallon, or $1000, whichever one is greater.

Odds of being caught, very small, lol.
