As long as you simply state the name thats OK with the site owner. Example getloaded. Don't dead link, or live link.

I use two, get loaded and land star broker. I also check truckers edge. I have had real good luck with these sites, But like I said before, I do my homework.

As stated I agree with Brick, don't base your business plan on the boards. They are a stepping stone period. Maybe one day they will get better but till then, get loads to pay your bills and start working the shippers but be careful to not step on any toes or breach contracts. The better boards have a credit service tied with them and that is some valuable information to have before you even pick up the phone. There is also a factoring service attached to the boards. It is great in idea but not so great in cost. Starting off if you can afford to lose as much as 5% off the top it may be worth it till you build a reserve to run 30 to 45 days while you wait on your checks. As you grow it will start to be somewhat seamless but remember the money received today is usually for a load you ran a few weeks earlier etc.

Brick has posted a lot of good information throughout this site and if you read his replies you will get a good idea as to his demeanor. I have never met him personally but I think he gives very sound and real advice. It may not be what you want to hear but what you need to hear. Always learn to read between the lines as some will offer advice and mean one thing but when you read it you think something else. Just some food for thought.

I use the Internet Truckstop. There is a lot of low paying loads on the site, but with hard work and determination, I have been able to average $1.68 per mile on all miles, loaded and unloaded. I run 100% broker freight at the current time and have managed to make a modest profit. Direct freight is the way to go, cut out the middle man.

Landstar's board isn't left over. Since Landstar corp makes A LOT more money off of their brokered freight than they do over giving it to their lease trucks. More and more the good high dollar freight is on their broker board while the lease trucks are left picking thru the crumbs.
