Hey this is my second trip out west here and into ca last time I stayed at the ta in Ontario for the weekend here again. I've noticed quite a few trucks idealing and Ik ca has there no ideal laws and that is state wide correct? My second question is Ik with California your truck must be 2007 or newer or have the diesel exhaust particle filter installed. I'm a owner operator leased on with a company out of wisconsin. I have a 2007 international 9400 with a cummins isx motor but I've noticed the motor was a 2006 and should I be concerned that I will run into problems at the scale if they pull me around to inspect? Ik certain trucks can be exempt if not ran so many miles. Just want to make sure I'm not getting myself into trouble and fines any help well be greatly appreciated

Yep you should be concerned, because Cali goes by the year of the motor not the truck and if you don't have a 2007 or newer motor you could run into problems. I have a 2007 freight but my cat c15 assert is not allowed in Cali, which is great so I don't miss Cali at all.

Kinda late asking that if your already in Cali isn't it? Jmo
-
I think your allowed like 5000 miles per year in Cali with an pre-emission truck for the 1 truck operators..I THINK
-
Your allowed 1k, but you had to apply for the exception already. That apply date been long gone now.
-
I've only had the truck for a month
-
thats great but think one had to apply for exceptions by jan 31 of this year, I believe
-
Okay I'll have to do some research into it because I got it at the end of March
-
Look up carb board for Cali, info all right there but if you really wanted to goto Cali, your company would have had to apply for the exceptions for the trucks before the deadline. And if you live in Cali all I can say is
move.....
good luck with that one.....

the op is sitting in a state where he DON'T BELONG. better haul butt and get the heck out. without a load.
i wouldn't think there be a dead line. considering that trucks are being sold every day. no one knows who's going to own what in the future.
radio was saying 1000 miles in cali. OR 5000 miles per year in any state.
