The 700 series dizel has a child's toy like operating system. Its just an outdated type of touch interface. kinda works, just can not pick your own roads.

It would be great if you could set a maximum speed on the dezl. Sure some of the Interstate speed limits are 70-75-80 MPH, but the truck is governed to 64-65 to keep Ontario, Quebec, and the Insurance guys happy. Navigon had this feature and Garmin bought them so they already own the intellectual property to get it done and make a big improvement to the ETA calculations.
-
Eta is already calculated by how fast u go. Starts out at a certain number then adjust as u stop or slow etc. Have no issue with mine.

What happened to the NTTS icon on the newer dezl? After selling some friends on the dezl, I was told that this icon in no longer there, and that it is a pain in the ### to navigate through and find truck stops and such. I was going to upgrade to the 7" dezl until I found out that this feature was gone. Very disappointed to find that Garmin removed one of the best, easy to use features on the dezl.

99.8% of the time she is right on with the directions. Every once in awhile she tries to take me a round about way to a main road. As I know where it is I just ignore her.

appears as if product manager jon has performed a drive by from the confines of his arm rested, swiveled, air adjusted, high backed and custom leather and formed seat while under his mahogany desk. I understand. He is surely busy inserting insurance company and cvsa mandated programs into his company's products.

Yes, the huge problem with this thing. It will just show you all the surrounding truck stops, with no regard to if they are along your route or 58 miles behind you. It wont even tell you if they are along your route. just a direction from where you are. So if you are turned 90° it tells you about a truck stop 50 miles to the east of your route if you are heading north. Not very helpful.Skydivedavec Thanks this.

On my Dezl u tap where to, then in upper left, tap the three bar icon then tap near active route, and then the NTTS icon. This will give me a selection of trucking related POIs that are on my route. Another useful one is to tap the where to, then three bar icon then near my destination, then the POI icons. This shows me if there is any parking near my pick up or delivery. Don't know how it works on the newer dezl, so I'll just keep updating my old one.

I wish my 760 computed ETA based on average. My ETA is more of a function of the speed limit. I give up X min/hr (Garmin ETA vs. eLog HOS available drive time.)based on whether I'm driving on 65-70-75 MPH roads.
