Yeah, that open structure trailer is going to be difficult to compensate for. Best way to reduce aerodynamic drag in that application is to slow down. Believe it or not, that's not a political statement.
What's the best aero tractor for car hauling?

The cascadia is a fine truck. Great room in side . Car trailers are rough on fuel mileage . But my brothers prostar is coming in at 7.5 with his 7 car set up . Strongly suggest a 2011 or later. DEF cured a lot of EGR and DPF issues. They were able to turn down the EGR rates. Makes those systems last a a lot longer. Best of luck!

Pete 387 is best
-
7.5 is better than I can ask for. I am embarrassed to say what I was getting rolling through from Dallas to Utah (through Denver) wind, hills and thin air where KILLING me....
-
7.5? ive never gotten that. lol Of course I have a 389 with a 120" sleeper now and a two axle pete with a 3-4 car for our local CA work
-
7.5 , and trying to get him to listen. With some mods I am sure we can get it into the low 8s run coast to coast with that 7 car.
-
No offense but I would never run coast to coast with a seven car. I dont care what the fuel milage is. The cars dont pay enough and seven of them just arent enough. My personal opinion is that you stop making money in Texas. We are getting $750-$1000 going to Texas and I see people taking cars to FL for as low as $650 and fighting for $850 to the carolinas and VA. I had an owner/operator pulling one of my seven cars with a Pete 387 getting 6.5 and it still wasnt enough money

Running to cheap .

Cascadia Evolution is the most aerodynamic and fuel efficient in my opinion.

Yep! Idiots running coast to coast for $600. You could run 1000 miles or less for the same money and if you only want to haul one load a week just sit on your butt the rest of the week. Anythng less than $1500 coast to coast for a single car is too cheap but thats why I'll never get to do it. Would love to but I haven't found that 20 car truck yet. I'm too lazy to go around and do single pics and drops anyways.
