A lot of things Should have happened. The trainee, trainer, and the deceased driver all carry some responsibility in this tragedy. Any of the 3 could have prevented it. Rip driver.
Red Hot Mess and double yellow Thank this. -
There's no excuse for a truck to be going 5-10 miles per hour bottom line! He should have been on shoulder or off the interstate.
-
This wreck happened a year or two ago. I remember it. Sucks that some people don't realize that in a 75 mph state that 5 mph can get someone killed......
-
that's no excuse. correct. but why didn't the other truck NOT notice and merge to the hammer lane???? or slowed down till he could safely pass.
i remember my first week training. my trainer had a dedicated route to south carolina. the first week back home. climbing parleys canyon. which is the last climb to salt lake. a toyota pickup slammed into a england trailer. went right under the bumper.
it's a sad day for both trucks, the 3 week rookie AND the deceased. both made a mistake. and one paid the price. may he rest in peace. prayers.xlsdraw and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
You're still wrong! Probably foggy and no way to figure some crackpot would be doing 5-10 miles an hour on the interstate.Western flyer Thanks this.

well, apparently the police are just as baffled as we are to the slow truck. so apparently fog wasn't an issue. no mention of weather at all.
but if fog was an issue. then i guess one was going too fast.Last edited: May 11, 2014

Nope. You couldn't get through Wyoming today. 80 has been closed since very early this morning. That wreck happened a few years ago.
