Thanks for that info trucsugma5. Everything else being equal; I would much rather work in CO year round than in the state of N.D. or TX. Can you please tell me/us about the housing needs in that area? Is Internet and AT&T cell phone connectivity available? Is living in a sleeper rent-free and showering somewhere an option? I intend to do some googling about CO oilfields next, but I know that many states have more than one region of oil fields. Are the jobs you are referring to east of the Rockies or in the Rockies?

The booming oil field in colorado is in the northeast corner of the state. And much of that oil is delivered to Cheyenne WY, and to the new transload in Windsor CO. It is civilized, with cell service and internet, and plenty of housing.

There's quite a bit of frackin going on between Brighton and Windsor, Greeley and Kersey, Lucerne and New Raymer (Pawnee Natl Grasslands), Wyoming is quite saturated but plenty of fracks coming soon as well as some yearly re-fracks. Housing from ghetto to classy can be found in any city along hwy 85 or i25 north of Denver (Thornton and North Glenn to Loveland and Ft Collins.... Ault and Nunn on Hwy 85, i76 to Hudson, Keenesburgh and Roggen, from DIA to Watkins and Bennett, Ghetto Aurora and Commerce city to New Aurora and Parker. Best bet would probably Greeley/ Milliken or Brighton. Jobs, plenty to choose from, guaranteed anyone to be employed within one week and no later than 30 days. Justice, RMT, Rocky mountain transload, A&W water, Northern Plains, crude hauler from Windsor not Lucerne, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Cal Frac.... etc, etc

FWIW-I have been seeing quite a bit more southbound iron than usual on 59 between Miles City and Gillette-a lot of Nabors, some Haliburton, Consolidated, Cal-Frac, etc.

Just a quick google search and a look at Craigslist found multiple crude oil hauling jobs listed in the FT. Collins area! Looks like CO is a viable place to live and work as well.

I don't really see the point of this post. What's so hard for you to believe about what I said?
I have a day shift , home every evening by 8pm, $10k per month job. I work 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off schedule , 20/21 days per month. I live in my own 2bedroom apartment , just bought myself a Ford f350 pick up, got $ in the bank and a steady future. Nothing's guaranteed in life but this is a solid job that quite a few drivers have been doing here for 20 plus years.
I been here 12 months and it's steady year round work hauling crude oil from lease to disposal facility. Hundreds of guys up here doin the same job all over from saskatchewan to North west Alberta.

I have been in ND for 4 years. Started out hauling water then switched to hauling crude. I am a company driver and have never grossed less than $100k a year. My dad hauls crude in Northern CO as a company driver and will make $100k. Along with making good money we have great insurance and benefits. Oil field trucking is good work for people that don't mind working.

there is plenty of money in North Dakota hauling or oil or water but there is no money in North Dakota hauling sand

there is plenty of money in the Bakken, but only if u Haul water or crude oil. Naturally oil pays more than water. Sand pays absolutely nothing in ND or TX
