Let convoy grow with more than truckers

I agree, in fact we have asked the local ABATE motorcycle group to ride with us on the 18th to Indy. We would gladly have cars, pickups, farm trucks or street rods, as we are all being hit by high fuel prices. Next Friday we will leave the Cloverdale truckstop at 9 am to head for Indy. Hope to see everyone there!

 

Due to lack of interest we may be forced to cancel the Indianapolis convoy this week. We have passed out flyers at MATS, been on FOX TV, XM radio and the Indianapolis Star to name a few. However, I have been contacted by a large number of truckers who said they would convoy with us and that they supported the convoy and now since Saturday most have emailed or called to say they are behind us but won't be able to go. I have heard that "I can't afford it", " I need to try and make some money", " I have to plant the garden", and so on. We have FOX news, the Indy Star and the Bedford news willing to ride with us but it will look pretty lame if we only have 10 or 15 trucks. I have put a lot of time into this and hate not to go but I can't do this on my own. I appreciate everyone who hung in there and we will make a decision in the morning. If you wait around for everyone else to do something, nothing will get done.
