I'll call today and see where I am headed when I leave the house either Sunday or (most likely...) Monday...

After driving for 2 hours yesterday, they told me I needed to go back to Shipper.

Confused now, they said yesterday I would have to swap with another driver, maybe not now.

I had to go back to get a pallet taken of, don't really know why.
And I did swap with him today.

He got my load to go home. And I got his load back to Riverside.

Not a good day for trucking yesterday. I 80 east across Wyoming was shut down for 24 hrs for icy roads. They opened up around 2pm yesterday afternoon, I was in rawlins for the 24. Of course once it opened, all the trucks left at the same time, making the 12 mile construction zone just east of there a hour and a half long process. Then about an hour later, a box truck laid over causing another hour and a half delay. Snowed several times. 5.5 hrs into the day, I barely made 180 miles. Truck stops were packing in so called it a day. Had been up since 4am watching for the roads to open. Still have 1900 miles to go by Thursday at 1400. Going to be tight, but doable. Fun stuff!

Always remember don't get too excited about them opening up freeway next time. Sleep and be rested. I was in Rock Springs and headed east. It is what it is!

Oh I waited about 45 min after I found out it was opened, thinking I'd let the surge move through. The issue was not knowing about the construction. And of course road closing accidents can happen at any time. Very little stresses me out, just hate unproductive days like that.
