I don't know much, but that volvo 780 sure has a nice looking interior. Never been in one, but it seems more like an RV with that table set up.

Volvo interior is cheap, colors are ugly, upholstery sucks every smell and smoke, door shuts with sound of car from 70's, insulation is literally missing. And no swivel table will save it from all of these negatives. :)

I drove a 680 from Minneapolis to Los Angeles for a while. Quietest, smoothest ride I've ever had. Better than some cars. Great stereo, and there were times I'd get 10-11mpg for a day or two. Great field of vision, and very lightweight. Probably my most favorite truck out there fuel economy/comfort wise.

In perfect conditions on flat terrain, f.e. Zion IL to Girard OH, t680 with 78000 gross shows great results again - 10.161 mpg.

Do you guys ever check those mpg's based off topping up the tanks and the miles run between tank fulls, hand calculated, or is that just what your digital displays tell you on mpg's? How close are the digital displays to accurate? My truck is older 2003 and has CAT information display with digital readings on various parameters. The mpg's is never right. I can be adjusted up or down in an effort to get it closer to reality. I just never bothered to adjust and set it right. Typically trends about 1/2 mpg better than my actual real fuel mileage.

My first quarter IFTA showed 7.62. It includes the brutal winter throughout the three months, the low energy winter fuel and the Espar heater usage. Now I am doing at least a mile more... By the way, the computer shows 2-3% better or the pump gives less fuel if I check my mpg from fill up to fill up.

when i looked at a 680 part of the salesman pitch was the ease on which the mirrors move forward to allow better access to the window supposedly they support 400 lbs and can be used as a handle

I found myself never climbing atop steer tire to clean windshield, etc. Mirror handles you mentioned do nothing with access ease - handles are THICK and slick, you have no enough grip.
The BIGGEST problem for me personally remains very bad vizors. I made custom visors temporary, will post photo later.
