ummm yeah unless you own that truck never pay for stuff. The most I ever pay out of pocket is up to $20 for something like maybe a bulb, wiper blades etc but I get those paid back to me, for my company anything over $20 requires a po and authorization. A tow is very expensive, how much did they charge you for that?

This may be a common scam. JB Hunt calls company A to come out. Company b sees you on the side of the road and stops first claiming to be company A. they dont have the account because they arnt really A.

In the future, never use personal credit to pay for truck stuff your company should pay for. Im still out 200 bucks for doing the same thing 2 years ago.

That being said, keep on top of jb and try to get them to pay you. Secondly, in the future, if service provider claims no account, make them call jb to schedule payment.

That's why when I call Road Service, I always ask what's the name of the company coming out to help me.

Thanks for the warnings. I hope i can learn from this so next time all this trouble can be avoided. I went and disputed the charge with my card company. They said it will not be a problem to reverse the charges.

Which is yet another thing i cannot figure out. Why do these companies try things like this when it is so easy to be disputed?

all you have to do is ask that info and road service will tell you, But normally they tell you anyways.

Not for nothing but I remember reading somewhere about companies that are scamming drivers with road repairs and ripping them off. As far as waiting on hold 10 minutes is nothing. I've waited 45 minutes 3 different times on a single breakdown. As far as what's been said here if roadside sent them out its paid for.

    ewill71 Thanks this.
