You can charge those number that are in their templet to what ever you want them to be. I changed the 6000 mile to 3500 that I usually run and plugged numbers from there.
popcorn169 Thanks this. -
Crunch all the numbers you want if your buying/leasing a used truck with 500k on it there's a better than average crap shoot chance your going to need to do repairs that far exceed your per mile calculation for maintenance. So be honest with yourself when you do that calculation, it's machinery you can't predict with any certainty when your going to have issues and I'm not talking the big stuff, sensors and crap can leave you by the side of the road and ruin your best on paper calculations.
$1300 a week leaves me cringing tooSheepDog Thanks this. -
Thats what they want. But I know several solo l/p drivers on the dedicated boards.popcorn169 Thanks this.

The best lease purchase available is the easiest too.....Lease a savings account book from your bank and when you have used it enough to buy a truck return it to the bank and drive off in your truck !
I have bought a truck before by just saving 20 to 50 bucks a week .
It is not instant gratification like signing up to be raped by a company but it feels allot better when you do pull the trigger.
If you are going to be driving for 30 years or more then you have time to save and get to the real gravy in trucking .
You don't need to put yourself in a worse situation then you have by driving for these outfits by paying their over inflated payments just to feel like you have more of than you really do.
The thing to remember in trucking is that no one is kissing you because they love you.
They are kissing you because they are going to put it to you .
Good luck in what ever you do in trucking but always try to what best not what is easiest .SheepDog, Pound Puppy and popcorn169 Thank this. -
But.... but Marmonman, they said I would be an Owner Operator and make my own choices! I could make $2,000 more than I did last year! I have one year driving, you dont know what youre talking about!

That is the best option a person can do. I am a company driver for a local company hauling windows I am home during the week and on week ends. I do want to get my own truck but it will be a long time before I get one. I have played with the ideal of leasing but the more that I think about it the more I think that it is not for me. I will probably stay with the company I am with as long as they will let me.
