What is the law and/or what is mandatory? 1 single line of red and white or 2 lines of red white on the back/rear of the trailer???Basically all reefers/vans have that, 99% of tankers, 90% of flatbeds/lowboys have it.....Who knows the answer, June is getting close by, so would be nice to know;)

Well, down here in the Colonies it's contained in 393.11 Figures 8 through 10, and described in 393.13. Since all of our stuff looks generally the same between Canada and the US, I'd assume that the Canadian regs are pretty much the same. Make sure you're viewing the right legend table in the figures... it's a little confusing. On the kind of trailers we pull around, there's the long side strip of "retroreflective sheeting," a strip across the rear of the body of the trailer, and one on the ICC bumper. Locations, heights above the road surface, and how it's supposed to be distributed are in the regs as well.
