Had a string of good weeks but this week wasnt 1 of them for sure . Left sitting in W Menos for 2 days no loads. Had to go to the Rib festival on the River and visit Beale St make things better . 2246 mi for the week . Ouch

I have delivered in Tenn 5 different occasions in 3 yrs everytime left stuck like its a deadend street . Have never had any luck . Black ball this state. We got decent freight there but ive never seen it. Ive talk to other drivers last few weeks they been getting stuck there to . I should of known it was my turn sooner or later .

My Maint most of it was my own doing wanted the truck in good shape to run the lease. This year my goal is Batteries, Brake drums (these have been turned already) Universal joints ,Brake chambers, Clutch be nice also,

My experience here at ACT has been good . They dont ask for much just do your job. Its your business to run your business,but at the sametime your a business partner with ACT So represent well you be ok.

I gotta run smarter myself i had some excessive miles that cost me profit in the form of fuel that's why my miles to breakeven is so high So im gonna work harder at that. So lookin forward to another year . I made it my 1st year i can make it to the 2nd .

To the new drivers dont get discouraged hang in there. Keep some cash back not every week is gonna be profitable . You plan on it you can recover easier . Dont get pocket rich.

I only went in the Hole Twice i believe but that was planned on my behalf took some time off . Once for a week off came back to work they ran me some light loads helped me recover easier. Another time 11days off I banked some miles before time off ,ended up less than 100 bucks in the Hole . I can live with that.

Thank you for being so candid with your info and records. I don't think you are doing anything wrong but I feel all that work for 33,000 just isn't that much, maybe next year will be better so goodluck.

I feel the same as you in this post, 22 years and making 33 000 after tax, wow that's slave wages, only the owner will be happy. I just don't get how anyone leases, driver has all the responsibility and cost tied to one broker and this guy can't even get a decent rate, not one load over 2.00. WoW

? I delivered in W Memphis this morning. . Before I was empty I received a pre plan from Jackson to University Park IL. Maybe I've just been lucky and never had a problem coming out of there.

It's usually heavy but ya know how it is. . Just deal with it the best ya can.

I wish I had known you were inn Beale St..I would have killed for a beer yesterday!

The only problem I have seen at ACT as to why lease guy's fail is because they have no work ethic or business exp.Again they all think like company driver's.They want to be home more than keeping the business open and running.There's a reason somebody else's name is on the door of the truck they're driving and it wont ever be their's.That guy with the nice home,nice car's and money in the bank got out and worked his behind off for a few yrs or a lot of yrs and earned it,he certainly didn't do it by driving someone else's truck.

One thing Blacklions didn't mention when he stated that he had to spend 6k out of pocket was where that money came from?gee I wonder,oyeah it was out of his bank acct,the money he earned by working at ACT.He also failed to mention the new king ranch crewcab diesel he bought last yr. and the 2 months he was off last yr scuba diving all over the world on 5 or 6 different trips.I myself have only worked 60 out of the last 90 days.How could I do that?gee I wonder,oyeah it was out of my bank acct.I know all this because I recruited Blacklions and have enjoyed watching a guy make a great living and enjoying himself.

So all you guy's keep crying and saying what a bad place ACT is and 20% of us are laughing all the way to the bank.Somebody has to drive all those company trucks right?

Ok you made your point but it comes off extremely defensive, no one is running down your company. You are also condescending about tweetskillet saying "obviously he has no business experience" you don't have a clue who he is and his background. Again, no one is running your company down. Some of us think leases are not such a good idea that's all. Nobody begrudges you making a living and loving your company. It sounds like a decent company to lease with if a person wanted to lease.

Hell I just went through there this morning on my way to Indy.
Got preplanned for Evansville, Pendergrass Ga after I drop at Indy.
I'm loving it so far. I'll have 1700mi by Wednesday morning.

Took week off last week . Wanted dispatchd Tues but there wasnt anything available so i pickd up on Wed. Cant seem to figure out why evertime i want dispatched after hometime its always the next day. I was number 1 on the board for 3 1/2 hrs. Took 7 1/2 hrs to find a load. Not good

No i put in a MT Call 7pm lastnight still waitg for a load its 9am. They cant find me a load again.

I dont know if company load board different than lease . But i talk to a compan y driver he put in aa MT CALL. at 7am and loaded already im sill sittn. I dont have any stock in the load board concept at all. My deadhead to kc is shorter than his make matters worse. Thats the way things go i guess . Its Wed i got 700 mi so far so far so we gotta get movin here

Joe, All due respect, it seems a lot of work/risk for not a lot of money. Forty one thousand is about the same as a decent company driver pay.
