I have a question for Werner,is the Ben Franklin motel in Omaha closed?I was doing some pricing on hotels because Ray and I are spending Memorial weekend in Omaha and happen to see Ben Franklin closed.Ooops read the title too fast maybe a mod can move this post in the appropriate thread.

Very simular but ours had round lights but the cab and front are the same just different lights. Wish that truck was still around maybe one day I will find anotherone that is for sale.

 

I tend to be old school in my treatment of women. I open doors, lift heavy objects, pay an extra measure of respect, etc.

While a woman should be able to do any job she chooses and qualifies for, she then shouldn't be permitted to play the fragile female card. It drives me bananas that women demand to be cops, but they are normally not the first ones going after the bad guys - they play backup to their male partners in most cases. I'm just saying a woman should have to do all the same work the men in her chosen profession preform. That is my only pet peeve, and I'm not saying this is an accurate description of you, since I don't know you. I do wish you an enjoyable career.

 

For me... the only bad part about being a woman out here is always having some guy or guy flirt with you... on the easy clean days when I still look fresh and good it annoys.... my on thoses tough dirty days when I am dirty from having to crawl under some trailer to rig up the air hoses, or whatever.. my hair is wind blows, and I got dirt smudged on my face.. when a gut flirts with me then... thats when I appreciate it ....

 

Woman drivers, what are those? Haven't seen one pulling a tanker or running LTL yet so I don't have any interaction with any other than seeing them at the truckstops. I haven't heard of any issues, its an over exaggerated issue I think.

 

What about women in the oilfield?
