    anyone doing it????

if so, what's the magic solution. google has a few methods but i'm not having any success.

just bought a usb bluetooth for my laptop. and phone is connected just fine. but the gps signal through bluetooth. just isn't doing it's thing. and all these threads on google saying they're using those methods.

    HMPH.

eventually, i'd like to get gps on my aunts acer tablet which has gps but has never worked. plus, i'd like to use my laptop occasionally.

the bluetooth dongle is v.4 manufactured by asus.

Just go out and buy Microsoft Streets and Trips with the GPS and load it on the tablet and laptop. Mine was less than $100 when I bought in 2007.

that might be a solution for me. but not for my aunt. to which i've already downloaded copilot for her. which was free.
retired people don't exactly have money to spend.

if there were specific programs that need to be used. it might help. but they've all said google earth. to which no dice so far.

no workie on the msft streets.

i use the navigation on my phone too. works just fine for me also. but that wasn't what i asked. and does no good for my aunt. or get my laptop working.

some of us like to be creative, and some of us would like to use a screen bigger then 4 inches. and some of us would like to try a challenge.

as for me. i'm all of the above.

turns out the note 2 isn't capable. i guess.

my asus tablet WILL do the task at hand.

msft and pcnavigator work. no luck on google earth yet. the app is bluetooth gps output. the other app that pops up all over google is bluenmea. no luck for me with that one.

gps on my laptop using my phone as a reciever. now to figure out what's needed to get my aunt's tablet to work.
