Last Friday, my overnight shift ended at 2:45 AM. I took my 10 hours, then switched to elogs for my next shift, which started at 5:00 PM. How do I show a switch from paper to electronic in the middle of the day?
How do I log this correctly?

If nobody has told you how, this is what I would do. Put a Note on paper logs and if can on the elogs (never used them so I do not know if can) at the time of switch noting the switch. But again that is what I would do, based on Government Log keeping experience prior to Trucking. (US Coast Guard were you logged everything)70s_driver Thanks this. -
Maybe it's "How do I show on elogs what I've already logged since midnight on paper?"... and that seems simple and direct enough; duplicate the paper log from midnight to the point of elogging, discard the paper. -
No. My question is "How do I show on paper that I switched to elogs?"

Go to down to line three and in comments write switched to elog.....and where you were when you switched and just put a line across line 3 as if your still driving till when you go off duty
