Congrats George! I was going to ask you yesterday if you had heard anything but I didn't want to jinx anything! I had a good feeling about it all along though. There may be a restaurant or two listed on the blog for Rockwall orientation. Be sure and check out the blog because we do have some information on shippers and receivers there that may be of help to you along the way. Hi HTQ , I'll be back stateside second week of June.

I am researching a small house in central Iowa to buy and rehab. So, I might go to Iowa, to do an inspection, etc., before I check in to start driving again with TransAm. Maybe I'll just put in for home time right away with TransAm to go to Iowa and close on the house. The house is in Newton, IA. Right off I-80 a place I often pass by when driving for TransAm.

I'll make a final decision by the end of this week. Either way, I'll be back in the driver's seat sometime in June.

 

That's great news, passport,....and exciting news about purchasing a home! I know you hate to see your vacation come to an end but we sure will be glad to have you back.
I spent about 8 hours today mowing and trimming. Much as I hate to admit it I may have to get someone to help me out every once in awhile. I have some fencing that needs repaired and just some general clean up that I could use some help with.

 

Just a heads up everyone .....Illinois DOT was working overtime today. The King got the red light 3 times today and they had them lined up.

passport is correct, you would not be within their normal hiring range .....however, I do know that we have had a lease driver from that same area. It's one of those things where you will just have to fill out every application that you can, wait for them to call, explain the circumstances and see what you can work out. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
