Hahha, now that's funny. It takes skill to sink a tiny white ball into a hole not much bigger than the ball. IMO it doesn't take skill to drive a manual. Call me what you want but driving a manual is easy......so long as you can count.mje Thanks this.
-
Driving a manual transmission is not a skill. That's why the United States dept. of Labor classifies truck drivers as: "Unskilled labor." look it up.
-
Weather the truck is auto or manual has no relation as to why drivers are classed as unskilled.mje Thanks this.

Manual vs. Auto... here we go again
-
Logging trails... snow/ice covered mountain roadways... and the like... you think it suddenly doesn't take real skill to navigate those if the truck's an auto?
I've never driven one of these autoshifts.. never had the opportunity to. Say driver A can't stay between the lines or back worth a ####, but drives a manual. Driver B stays in their lane, and can back up without taking hoods off, but has only ever driven an auto. By your logic, Driver A would be the better driver. Sorry, but I'm calling ######## on that one.mje Thanks this. -
Hey mattbnr, I see you are from Tama,IA. Years ago, I hauled fertilizer to some place in Tama. I think it was "something" brothers? Just the nicest people. They gave me lunch, and the people at a grocery store there were really cool too, very friendly. Not like in Wis. where everybody is pissed off, or something. Lived in Wis. all my life, and of all the places I've been, Wis. people are the most unfriendly there are. Ohio too, were great people. Michigan, pretty cool, but Wis. awful. Not sure why that is. Highest rate of drunk driving in the nation, maybe. (Sorry for drifting)mattbnr Thanks this.

No. I WAS with the Unit. But I liberated the pic from the internet. Jumped many times, But never with a dog.

I really hated the C17... always my luck I ended up jumping immediately after the guy on his sixth jump, who'd get hung up on, "hey.... I'm outside.. but I'm still on the bird", then I'd have no choice but to bull rush his ###, which inevitably led to me finding out just how painful silk to the face (or other parts of the body) can be. And, of course, I couldn't do a thing about it, because "no rank in the air" (although, to be fair, that's saved my own ### a couple times, as well).
