I don't get fatigued. After 30+ years my body is accustomed to the life. If I'm tired I shut down and start again after I've got some rest.
How do you guys fight off fatigue during a 10 hour day in an end dump

Wasabi peas. Seriously. They're a tad pricey for a snack, but they'll get you through that last 50 miles. Oh yeah...make sure you have water.
Caterpillar Cowboy and mje Thank this. -
Turn the a/c on. Cold air might keep you alert for awhile.

power nap or rest is the only correct and safe answer......i know i know we dont ever have time for that, ive popped the brake and literally put my head on the steering wheel for 5 min and got a couple more good safe hours, but fatigue is fatigue....cant stay up for letterman and go to work at 3am, cant chase momma around till midnight and go to work at 3 am ....rest......good diet......and schedule.......nothing makes me madder than drinking coffee alone at 4 am on sunday when i could be snuggled up with sweetness.....but thats my schedule so i go with it ...................be safe everyone

Get in shape! (Not saying your not in shape) but when I first started I was in great shape, gym every day and looked great. After about 8 months of otr with no gym and eating whatever I noticed I stay tired and lazy like. I started working back out, lifting little weights im the truck for like 30 mins every day and I notice I'm happier, more positive and have more energy. I would suggest trying it for a couple weeks and see what happens. Won't work over night though

Also eat good carbs such as potatoes. I have them morning and night of one variety or another and have no issues with fatigue. Because they take so long to digest it is kinda like slow release. Better than pasta any day.
mje and NavigatorWife Thank this.
