No, It has a primary filter with water separation capability for a reason. if water gets past the secondary and that filter is not made to stop water it will destroy the injectors and if it blows the tip completely off can destroy you turbo and with no tip the injector will pound in an extreme amount of fuel. It will destroy the cylinder kit.
Other than that go for it!
Just a thought!guru23231 Thanks this. -
Those are just extra parts that Detroit puts on to charge you more money. .
Seriously bad idea.guru23231 Thanks this. -
How did you mastermind this plan? Conspiracy theories on the CB about fuel filters stealing the lubricity from the fuel? Better MPG with no filters?
This was a TERRIBLE idea. Dangit boy! -
why would you do this exept maybe to get the truck off the road other than that its kinda retarded
guru23231 Thanks this. -
my FASS pump died one night.... I got the bright idea to bypass it... only 180 miles home... 2 dead injectors by the time I got home...wasn't worth it
-
I did it because freightliner dealership broke my filter cap and I couldn't wait for another one. Freightliner said it safe till I get filter cap. Cuz I have a secondry fuel filter.

You do realize that you can put a spin on filter on the Davco temporarily to? This way, you wouldn't have to disconnect anything.
-
You'll just have to change the filter more often I never liked those water separators they break to much
-
How do they break? It is a simple design, a globe with o-rings and a check valve. If you over torque the plastic base you can crack things.
