TransAm Trucking, Inc. - Olathe, Ks.?

Things have not gone as planned so I am home but have left Trans Am. Have a few other companies that I have talked to but will wait out weekend to accept anything.

My wife cries sometimes when I leave I just tell her to man up. Ok that was once and I learned to never do that again.

Hey people its been a long few months, when I was last here i was thinking about joining the trucking business. Unfortunately a few things happen and had to put that on hold. But I'm going to get the ball rolling within the next couple of weeks. I decided to go with Us Xpress for my starter company, any feedback on them if anyone has work or know someone that has worked with them ?

By the way guys major respect on keeping this thread going constantly, no other thread comes even close. Safe miles.

 

I heard US Xpress was a real good company

 

I like to drive through the night but I have a lot of friends that I talk to so it makes it easier for me. I usually start at 0100 or 0200 but it took me a long time to get used to those hours. Also it is easier to find parking around noon just about everywhere but Jersey

If things didn't work as planned, jaso, then I am sure it wasn't the best situation for you. The right one is there waiting for you, I have no doubt that you would be a welcome addition to any trucking company. How did it go with TransAm when you turned in your truck?

You know, I gave Gordon a rather long answer, when the real truth is that I am old enough to realize that there are times it is better to bite my tongue than to say something that will bite me in the behind. You evidently aren't old enough to realize that yet! Did your wife box your ears for you when you told her to man up????

 

Ok. Got stuck in OKC. Truck is in shop at Freightliner. At least I get a free motel room for the night.

 

Hi Jmor. I have a friend that went to work for Us Xpress and seems happy. I believe he felt more confident with their training program ....it is longer than TransAm's. Best of luck to you as your start your new career.

 

I am the man of the house and she does what she is told. LOL. With that said I am very happy she is not on here to read that last statement. My has a very good sense of humor so she knows just how to handle me.

Trans Am did not give me a hard time. My dispatcher tried one last attempt to keep me but that is not unusual. I just said thanks but no thanks and thank you for the opportunity

 

Ty mam I'm trying to find more information about them here, I wish they had a thread like this one lol. You guys are awesome.
