    Sorry to hear that chowick, good to hear you're still rolling. Balakov, I talked to a driver that has a scanner in his truck to scan trip pack and documents and emails them to TripPak. I suppose the mobile app would be similar. I've been intending to get a scanner, they're pretty cheap in general.

    I got a load to Lathrop from Las Vegas, yikes. Hope I don't get stuck there in the Ripon/Stockton area over the weekend.

    Gulf;
    Gottcha, I live in Fresno, CA and have been up and down 5, 99,58 and all over No & So Cal for years. I will finally be heading to orientation the week of the 2nd, but due to bus, train or plane won't arrive until Monday night.
    Be safe!

    Gulf Thanks this.

    I got the shop around 0630. They got me right in, but had to replace a windshield and fix a couple minor things in addition to a complete pm. They were finished around noon, which included a thorough cab wash. I ended up changing loads here since the load I had was to the wire tight to begin with. I had to wait for my new trailer to arrive, plus it had to be serviced. So, spent the entire day at the yard, now off to Washington with 4 drops... so not so happy with my visit to the yard.

    Gulf, good chance you'll get loaded out of atwater. I know they are open late Friday and Saturday.

    Gulf Thanks this.

    If any of my Holland Ent. Friends here need it I have a GPS POI file that has ALL of our current authorized fuel stops along with their color codes. It is in CSV format which works with most GPS makes (including the newer Rand McNally) if you want it let me know (also let me know if you need any other format)

    Wow that's actually not too bad for length of repairs. If it was any other company the repairs would have taken at a minimum a day and you would not have found another load till late the next day.

    The actual shop part was great. I expected it to take longer with the windshield. Every other windshield I've had replaced had to cure for awhile before the truck could be moved. Ours do not. The delay on my load was another drivers fault, one from our sister company, taking their sweet time bringing it in. That and it being a 4 stop drop in Auburn, WA where parking is terrible, on memorial day weekend, was the bad part. I have 2 drops Sunday morning, then 2 drops Monday. My 1st and 3rd drop are to the same place... pain in the butt load with a lot of sitting around time. But gotta take the bad with the good.

    I got them to look into the trip pak app last month. Good to know they follow up on suggestions.

    Chowick, I've only had my 720 about a month now. How does that file work? Is it imported through the dock?

    I managed to keep rolling here through the weekend but it turned out not to be so easy. On Friday I only had 2hrs between my delivery at Ken's and pickup at the ice cream place in Henderson. I was there at Ken's an hour before they opened but there was one driver ahead of me. I actually would have made it to Henderson on time but my load had shifted and a few pallets had to be restacked. So I got to Henderson Americold 20 minutes late.

    20 minutes late = 10 hr wait. Yep, a grueling 10 hrs. I had been late there before, but I think it was for a delivery and deliveries might get priority on the work-in schedule. Or might have just been a better day to be a work-in that time.

    When I checked in at 9:50am, twenty minutes late, I was told there were a few trucks ahead of me in the work-in wait line. All I can say is do not be late to this place. I should have protested only having 2hrs to get unloaded and get over there. But Ken's is usually quick. Still, given the consequence for being late to Americold, plenty of time should be alloted to get there. Through the course of being there I learned that in order to get in as a work-in, some other driver has to miss or be late for his appointment. So I needed at least 3 driver's to miss their appointment or not show. But it seemed, given the holiday weekend, everyone was doing there damnedest to get there on time.

    It was 5pm by the time I got in a door and my luck was not a no-show, but some poor driver had showed up without his reefer on and it was 90 degrees in his trailer so they pushed him to the back of the line and I got his spot. So I was out of there by 7pm. But the real kicker is that it had to deliver at 5am, 500 miles away in Lathrop so I had to drive all night. I really try to avoid this kind of scenario but I was already told I had a drop and hook after that in Lemoore going to MN. So I really needed to make this delivery. It was painful and required a lot of mental gymnastics to stay alert and awake. I took my mandatory 30 minute break, and two other 5 minute piss breaks and got to delivery 30 minutes early. Whew!

    After that I had the rest of Saturday off. The Flying J is Ripon is really not too bad with a grocery store and a few different food options nearby. But I got rested up and got the loaded trailer to Rice, MN today.

    Just remember, you don't want to be a work-in at Americold Henderson, NV. As long you're on time, it's all great there.
