Oscar, what kind of RGN do you have? I'm looking at an XL DD extendable. I'm going to order it with a 18"-18" deck height, have you any recommendations?

Hows it going Martin? Do you like your Trail King? I'm on the cusp of ordering a DD, Iv pretty much narrowed it down to three, XL Specialized, Trail King and Fontaine.
XL so far seem to be easiest to work with as regards customization as there's a lot of extra stuff I'd like to add. Trail King may have more strength but are heavier, as this will be an extendable and have a full width hydraulic neck it's lightly it's going to be heavy. My tractor weighs 22,500 LBS so I'm expecting to be over 45,000 LBS total tare weight when all is said and done but more so I wanted to hear from you guys that have a lot of experience with double drops here in the states.
Other than a 16 tire cozad here in CA the last real RGN I had was a steering Noteboom back in Europe many moons ago.
Im sure you were familiar with them Martin.

Indeed! Trailers here are certainly different, thats for sure.
I like the TK's myself. They build a good strong platform on which to build on, in my opinion.
We had 3 XL's years ago, but they had nothing but issues, so I dont think we run them anymore. The Fontaine's seem like they have no back bone to me, when you look at them closely when they are loaded heavy.
Stretches are heavy no matter what, especially a fixed 3 axle. The TK 3 axles we have, with a flip neck and full front and rear decks, are 25,000lb IIRC. You can however, load them up stretched out and not drag the ground on a flat road!
Thats just my opinion on the three main players. Although if it wasn't a TK, it would be a XL before a Fontaine.
