That depends on how Effiecient you operate... Your fuel will be your biggest variable expense and the one you have the most control over...

There are too many variables to give you a straight answer but yes, fuel is the biggest expense. What's your truck payment? That will have a big impact on your bottom line. Plus all,the other expenses that mount up over the course of a year. $196,000 gross is a good number to earn in a year so your job is to keep costs down to a minimum.
    Good luck.

    That's what I was wondering.

But.....Why would you expect anyone to be able to answer this question? It is an individual thing. How much fuel did you use; what are your insurance premiums; did you have a lot of maintenance; etc...etc....?

Well with the sort of numbers we deal with and the complexities of taxes, expenses etc, let's hope he doesn't try to do his accounts and taxes on the cheap. That he hires some experienced guy to give him guidance. It will be beneficial to him in the long run. But opinions may vary on that point.

If you leased a truck through SFI, I can give you some rough numbers. That yearly figure comes out to a little over $3700 per week gross. At that rate, I usually take home $1100 to $1300 from that amount after all expenses, and I'm not super conservative with my fuel.

You need to know your operating costs before you can know whether or not that number is good for you.

I am kinda wondering how you got the figure of 196,000 and don't know what your operating expenses are. That figure is pretty exact.
