that was the funniest ad i saw last week...considering how they plan the company drivers....could'nt imagine the same meat head load planner sending me a lp load...everything you get is always late example you were suspose to pick this load up @ 8am..i know sir/maam.i just got the info & it's 11:19 am

 

The only good thing i can say about western is they do give you the opportunity other companies dont/wont other then that i could never continue to work for a company where all the perks are for everyone except the drivers..i switched dm's..switched from ne reg to otr & they still give me ne reg loads the pay is the worst i could ramble on for days but i wont.I met a bunch of great men & women that i stay in contact with daily & weekly just to tell them hang in there & try to keep their cdl,dac,csa clean until they can get to a better situation..best week ne reg for me was 2984 miles 1 nyc boro del & 1 extra stop(907.00)best week otr(dont laugh too hard) 3688 miles (912.00)...moving on fortunately for me im not a driver that needs western

 

i had just left the nazareth,pa yard when the dm was saying that to a new driver..i started to turn around & go back when i got the call about it...said ehhh im outta here soon no need.That's why it's important to interact with your co workers while on company property waiting for repairs..etc you'll be suprised what you dont know or others dont know.No need to walk around acting all stuffy because you have 60 yrs exp...I talk to everyone no matter which yard im in for whatever reason...plan & simple that company does'nt respect the drivers...they have the train the trainers classes..they need train the dm,load planners,shop...etc none of them have communication skills..ok going to sleep i'll be delivering my last load for them in the morning dropping their cleaned truck outside & inside off and continuing on with my life.Kinda sucks because because i liked & got along pretty well with both dm's i had too bad my old dm will be short 1 otr driver when she get's back in on Monday

 

On topic, I was researching another company where you EARN 1 day at home each week out. I'll not be earning anything from them. They need to earn the right to keep me away from home longer than I should be.

No way I am going to work for any company that treats drivers like that. I drove for Schneider and they didn't do that to me. Things have changed I guess.

 

lol that's what it say's in our employee manuals for every 7 days out a driver accumulates 1 day off.You get home late Friday or mid day Saturday you been out 8 weeks they'll give you a pick up Monday @ 8 am basically letting you go home long enough to reset your 70 then gone for weeks again

 

No way I would lease/purchase a truck from the same people that I get my dispatch/workload from. They will screw you the third year, get their truck back and then trade it in on another one and try to get the next chump that comes along to fall for the same scheme. Ruthless!

 

Seriously? And people actually drive for these ########s? Have some self respect and tell these people to go #### themselves.

 

Why do you people sign on with this place knowing they are the lowest scum of the trucking industry? You aren't doing yourself any favors and you #### the whole industry by allowing scum companies like this to continue operating. They need to be forced out and only you can do that by NOT working there in the first place!
