I just bought a T300. I always carry a chain with me because I have to go off road sometimes and need pulled back out. The front bumper is so low on the T-300 that I think it would damage it if hooked around the front axel. I notice there are two small square holes (like a Reiss receiver) in the front bumper but I don't see how you could hook a chain there. You would think they would put two hooks there instead of that set up.
T-300 How do you tow it??

Those two square holes are where the removable tow hooks get installed.

Some one told me that a Kenworth never needs to be towed. So I assume they will never get stuck in mud too. Any one have a picture of a home brew set up they could post a picture.

Theres a circular hitch that goes in that receiver. That's how you pull it. You can probably pick one up at any truck parts place. I think you can get just a hook to slide in it as well but the circular one is better. It looks like a square tube with a zero welded onto it. I don't know what the official name of it is? That's what comes stock with Volvo Trucks for their receivers. You can put it on and take it off when you need it, basically like the 4 wheeler hitches that have that type of receiver.

View attachment 66342 This is what Im talking about. Its a Volvo hook though. You just need to check with KW to see if they have one for yours.

Takes a Kenworth specific tow pin,a regular receiver hitch won't work.Cheapest place to get one is ebay.
